Tech Session: Wormhole
In this session hosted by The BLOKC, Aghani, a builder and core developer from Superteam Germany, leads a hands-on look at the Wormhole ecosystem. Organized with Superteam Germany and Superteam Philippines under the Wormhole Foundation, the talk focuses on the developer side of Native Token Transfers (NTT) and Wormhole Queries.
What the session covers
Aghani walks through Wormhole’s open-source NTT framework and the two standard shapes for multi-chain token deployment. Burn-and-Mint destroys supply on the source chain and recreates it on the destination, while Hub-and-Spoke locks canonical tokens on a primary network and lets spoke chains mint and burn against it, maintaining balance invariants through a Global Accountant. The demo covers the NTT CLI together with cross-chain state testing using Foundry, Bun, and Forge to exercise inbound and outbound contract rate limits directly on chain.
What you can build
With the automated CLI tools, teams can establish a native cross-chain token presence across EVM, SVM, and Move chains in minutes. Aghani also shows the Wormhole Connect React widget, which enables cross-chain asset swaps and native gas drop-offs, for example delivering raw SOL alongside an inbound token bridge so newly funded accounts are usable on arrival rather than stranded.
What’s next
The roadmap focuses on continuing to scale the multi-signature Guardian network to support upcoming L2 rollups, keeping the security model intact as the protocol grows. The team also plans to expand CLI functionality with automated contract verification hooks across ecosystems.
